It's 2025.

As I gazed out the window and took this photo during an airline flight earlier this year, I was reminded that we are on a planet in space.

That reality often eludes us when we're on the ground, in familiar territory. But it's important to remember.

Also important to remember: We are creatures on this planet we call Earth.

Why acknowledge that? Because species are dying off in huge numbers. Birds. Bees. Bugs. And we humans are interdependent with all species.

On top of all that, weather and politics are becoming more extreme, and many other changes to life as we once knew it are swirling around us.

Those are mega problems. But I believe we're all called to help heal this place. That's why I volunteer as board chair of Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake. Please consider supporting them.
